This is my mate's new project that we have just finished.
It is a forge drill, made about 1900, powered by a 1939 Lister D reverse rotation.
It's such a big thing that I couldn't get it all in in one picture on my phone

I think I have got the engine running just right, 500 RPM with one spring. Lister made a batch of 500 RPM engines in 1928 by doing just this. Idea

He has since turned the side flywheel round so the spokes go the right way! drunken
I will get some better pictures when we have it on the rallyfield on Bank Holiday Monday
