Well here is a climax pump i have acquired ... nice little domestic pump and bit different to the listers and the stuarts .

new addition... DSC00063

has been taken off a frame someone bodged together and i have made out of softwood and h frame and shaped the ends and even beveled a edge on all the top of the timbers too , used 3 x 2 ... may be a bit manly but 2x2 would look silly in my opinion .

new addition... DSC00061

new addition... DSC00064

new addition... DSC00065

im quite proud of myself ... some top notch carpentry if i do say myself lol lol! lol!

Now do i put it on small wheels or make 4 small metal feet for it to stand on as its only light ..... ? Was even thinking getting made a brass plate on side with "owned by Matthew Read - 2011" and have that on the side of the frame .

Good ideas or not ?

Nice bit of woodworking Matt, myself I think Id not put wheels on so that it's easier to pin down on a rally field and not move about, with wheels on makes it a bit more difficult to get it to stay still Laughing Laughing

Stu..

Stu i had a idea last night just before went t bed , it would be more stable if was on the ground while working but its obviously easier to move about with wheels . Its not too bad to lift so think stay on a base like that or do i make the wheels so are held on with R clips to can just take them off .....

and yes that word GIVE lol! lol!

i was supposed to go to a show this weekend, but as usual my backs bad again, and i had a fella who wanted to see the trailer,as he want to buy one like mine.he was unhappy i didn't turn up,but i did tell him i mite not be able to make it,it all depended on my back.i left him a message and he got back to me,he didn't here the phone as his engine was running...
oh well will get to at least one this year.(i hope)

its a 1 1/2hp and hes had it sat in his barn in the states for 20 years...he says he could crate it but i would have to sort the shipping out..
i would rather let a proper company sort it for me..if you come to Dorset i can bring one with me for you to use...

stop being a tight git and give the lad a set of nice wheels for his handy work.

PAUL..
GIVE the lad some wheels,i gave him a generator for a stationary engine and he brought it back to me and said it didn't work..
to be honest i think he naft it up,coz when we were here trying it he got an electric shock from it,now its dead.. lol! lol!
so if he wants wheels he will have to buy them from me,but they will be a sensible price though.
