wico style mag removele

hi when removing a wico mag of an engine such as a wolseley, do you have to mark the cogs,and the mag at the point of removale if that makes any sense lol!

No on wolsleys you have all your timing Marks on the cogs, Very easy you take your govner side plate off and you can see the marks on the camshaft gears.
When puting Mag back on after you have restored it ,Set it into the middle of the slots.
