Another engine to be proud of, and well done for not letting the scrapman have it like alot of other people would have done. It takes a certain something to restore not just an engine anything back to its former glory. In this hobby there is a few out there who are just looking for free entry tickets into rallies, they have an engine that will fit in the glove box that they bought in the condition they show it in. Its good to see on this forum we have enthusiasts that may not be mechanically minded but are willing to give it a go. Even saying that it takes a lot to have a running engine then strip it down to paint it they have dogs whotsits lol just to try.

Well in a long winded way .... Well done very nice engine

Stu.

Cheers Guys!

Funny you say 'save it from the scrapman', my friend who found this one has been contacted by a farm worker who knows of 2 more D's (one on an hay elevator) that have sat there for years going rusty.

Main problem is we can't find him again and all we know is he drives a red Landy Defender! We don't even know the farm he works? Shocked

I'm going crazy thinking these engines will go the the scrapman to make up weight. All we can do is take trips out and around where we last saw him and try to flag him down.
