Not quite sure how I posted the same photo twice. Here's what was supposed to be the second.
Apart from the tank, which came already painted off eBay, the rest I did with a 3/4" brush and, after assembly, did the bolt heads & nuts with a tiny brush.
I think the tank had been sprayed, and is a slightly different shade, so I may do a brush job to match the rest of it.

Working on the 'rat-in-a-maze'/'infinite number of monkeys' principle, I think I now understand the instructions re posting photos. But then I've been wrong before .............

You know what, if you used a decent high-tack primer, you could paint up those wheels. They wouldn't look perfect, but they'd pass off a lot better until you source some others. You could even get creative with a drill & small hole cutter, maybe a file, or junior hacksaw, & make them a little more interesting. Once painted gloss black they wouldn't stick out so much & would look older to the passing eye.
Although I don't mind them myself, as the whole thing looks so neat, they kind of look neat with it.

One thing I didn't think when making the trolley is how far I have to bend over to swing the handle.
The other thing is that I built it on the bench and had to shore up the shed roof before using a block and tackle to get it down to trolley level. Plan ahead.
Nutgone: it will probably stay with those wheels. Drilled holes and painting them is an excellent suggestion.

Looking good Richard, if your after some wheels contact miked on the forum as he has a lot to sell and get maybe a set of 12inch and it will lift the engine a bit higher to help you start it.
