Hello all. Having been a member for a few months now, it's time for my first question. The first of many!

Does anyone know if it is possible to obtain a manual or even a diagram of a Lucas RS1 magneto? I have stripped down my mag that came with the Lister D, but ideally I would like to have a diagram of parts. There are one or two bits missing. Is there anyone that can supply replacement parts? I know Stationary engine parts do a condenser and points, but I need one or two other bits.

Thanks for taking the time to read. I may be stating the obvious, but I am a complete novice with little or no knowledge and I am looking to all you seasoned veterans of this hobby to help me out!

Thanks in advance. Cheers,

Graham Very Happy

Hi Graham,
Not sure if this helps but the Stationary Engine magazine (Kelsey Publishing) offer. for sale, a booklet entitled 'M-L Magnetos, instruction booklet for types RS1.....' - this is advertised inside the magazine's front cover. This might be useful.
All the best,
Kev.

Hi kev. Thanks for reply. The main thing that is missing from my mag is one of the metal straps that holds the coil in place, into which the screw that holds the cap on also fits. If you have one of these, that would be great. I intend to replace the condenser and the points, but if I can't get a spark then I may need your help.

Thanks,

Graham
