Petter W1 petrol

Hello from Greece,


I study Engineering at TEI of Piraeus in Greece. I am trying to make my dissertation on modeling the operation of a petrol engine with the use of software.The engine that I have to use is the PETTER W1/PLINT variable compression TE15 because we have at the laboratory. I wanted to know how can I find more information about the engine. I have only installation and operating instructions manual.

I would like all the available technical information about this engine! I know only about the bore, the stroke and the compression ratio...!!

I am sure someone on here will be able to help when they come online as the forum has some knowledgeable members.

May I suggest you try the Internal Fire Museum as they are currently archiving the Petter records. Maybe someone has already recorded information for the engine you seek. I have to say as a specific College engine with what sounds like many modifications from a standard engine, you may find it difficult to get information. You could also try and get a copy of the Stationary Engine Magazine (they have a website). Pick or ask for a copy with the helpline information as this contains addresses of people who are specifically interested in Petter engines.
