Unusual Lister A collected today

Post by janner on Thu Aug 15 2013, 18:20

Hi all, pictures to follow once offloaded in a minute, Bought an older restoration A type today from a semi famous owner, details to follow, very happy with the new engine, so far can only see a stuck valve hindering a fire up, been under cover and dry since 1985, but must have looked amazing when restored, note the fuel tank and that will give an indication of the previous owners occupation !!!! Laughing  Off out to unload now and will report back later

Right, here we go, as offloaded tonight

This shot shows the detailing that Terry done to it when restored in 85

This shot shows the beautiful work that Terry does for a living, not changing this as its part of its history and the hands that made this tank have made many things for many famous people

Another shot of the copper handmade tank

Not to sure of the silencer though !! lol

Can anyone date this for me ?

And finally a link to Terry's website , the list of actors and actresses that he has worked with and for is mind blowing

http://www.terryenglisharmourer.co.uk/about

And a really nice guy to boot, very happy chappy here tonight

Thanks Janner

According to the book, 1936 and it looks like a lot went to the Air Ministry.
Nice engine there, I like the lining on the flywheel, and that tank is beautiful!.

Yes I reckon so Lewis , I reckon a oily rag wipe over will suffice, just need to get it running now , but do not expect too many problems , the mag was rebuilt and never used !! so unstick the valve and some fresh fuel and we'll see what happens

Unfortunately not !!! As I have had to reimburse the timewaster on ebay for the Normans I needed to recoup the loss from somewhere as have had a lot of expense lately, provisionally sold tonight locally, being collected tomorrow night (Not happy)
