Unusual Lister A collected today

Hi all, pictures to follow once offloaded in a minute, Bought an older restoration A type today from a semi famous owner, details to follow, very happy with the new engine, so far can only see a stuck valve hindering a fire up, been under cover and dry since 1985, but must have looked amazing when restored, note the fuel tank and that will give an indication of the previous owners occupation !!!!   Off out to unload now and will report back later

According to the book, 1936 and it looks like a lot went to the Air Ministry.
Nice engine there, I like the lining on the flywheel, and that tank is beautiful!.

Yes I reckon so Lewis , I reckon a oily rag wipe over will suffice, just need to get it running now , but do not expect too many problems , the mag was rebuilt and never used !! so unstick the valve and some fresh fuel and we'll see what happens

Unfortunately not !!! As I have had to reimburse the timewaster on ebay for the Normans I needed to recoup the loss from somewhere as have had a lot of expense lately, provisionally sold tonight locally, being collected tomorrow night (Not happy)

Seen it listed - good luck with the sale - and sorry to hear you had to let it go!....if i can persuade my wife to eat beans for the next week or two i may just have a stab at it.......

The local buyer has also turned into a timewasting exercise , reallyconsidering pulling the auction , have had nothing bur grief on ebay lately (oops !!!) mentioned the E word
