cheerd rob end of day alot easier to use in short bursts when want to chop some steel up than a d type etc...

anyway of making to run quieter ?

The one I had, 3hp 1500rpm job was running a genny in my first shed, ran that through a Mk2 Escort muffler and all you could hear was the tappets and belts squeaking.

Just been reading through the post Matt and I agree with you, As much as A Lister A in a Nice engine house would look really good its not a good Idea if your just wanting to cut a couple od pecies and then stop. As much As I don't really like them, a Petter A or A1 would be the most practical!

when i see villiers they dont seem to be the most reliable engine for sure . when got my 1st D type when was 13 my
brother had a petter a and that never went wrong ever !
