New trolley

Hi this is my finished trolley that's apart for many coats of varnish, I oiled my last trolley and that got ruined by a leaky engine,

Nice one, depends on what oil and how many coats? I never had problems and a few of my engines leak.

Try rustins varnish I used for 1st time other day and I'm impressed.

I am not certain. I just picked it up from timber yard. it cost £20 and enough to do another smaller trolley. It is a very strong hardwood from Finland I believe. it weighs twice as much as oak and blunted drills quick.

I had the same issue with mahogany - I ended up drilling pilot holes with wood drill bits then moved to HSS metal drill bits..... perhaps not conventional but it worked!

well folk I will show you what it looks like when all varnishing is done, 4 coats of a clear polycarbonate varnish, a very high gloss and you can still see the wood
