Amanco knocking

when running my amanco hired man, there is a soft knocking sort of noise from the piston as it is going in and out of the bore, it is not a metallic knock. hard to describe really, is this normal? everything seems tight so i dont think its wear. any help appreciated cheers

when i come to deliver your engine i will have a look at amanco for you ,as i know my way around them these days as having a couple myself
and it can be one of several little tweeks if its not the conrod & piston ,but at the same time it could be ,depends how the castings are sending the sound out when running mate

cheers kev, it starts and runs well, i just dont want to ruin it by running it if it is piston or conrod.

Hi Neil, If you are still worried about the "knock" give us a ring and I`ll come round one night, it might not be the little end. two or three set of ears might help. Can`t come round this week I`m getting ready for Anglesey and I have the builders in.
