I'm hoping too... Waiting for liability insurance to arrive then I can send my forms off to exhibit... If not I will be there as a spectator.

I reckon I will be there, someone has to keep certain forum members (Rob and Jules!) in order. Smile

Yes well, I guess even your best behaviour leaves a lot to be desired Rob! Smile  Had a set back with the wife last night but HOPEFULLY we will still make the rally. One step forward and three back......

If you are struggling to find public liability insurance for a stationary engine then there is always Walker Midgley www.walkermidgley.co.uk  They do public liability insurance for stationary engines from around £20 for £2,000,000 of cover, to around £27 for £5,000,000 of cover.  It's more expensive than 'engine club group' type insurance, but if it means missing out on exhibiting it might be worth thinking about?

As for a convoy, I'm far too disorganised for that.   Last year I intended to arrive at the rally by mid to late afternoon, and finally got there at 9pm!  Laughing

I should be there on the Saturday, emails sent and apications sent even at such a late stage.

Sadly though its looking like my lister d will be there to make up the numbers instead of being a runner.

Link to the entry form here:  http://www.1000engines.co.uk/files/EXHIBITOR.pdf   You'll need to send it first class to M Barkes today if you want to stand a chance of getting your pass back in time. Normally, you would send a copy of your insurance certificate with your booking form.  However, you could either give him a ring and ask what to do; or maybe try explaining that you are applying for insurance and offer to show your insurance certificate when you arrive and go to 'sign in' and collect your rally number from the show office tent (usually next door to the club sale tent)?   Don't turn up without the insurance certificate though, as they check through their lists and will not let you exhibit if they haven't seen it!  Hope this works for you.   Smile

Alternatively, you could take your bike this year and while it's parked up you could come and join us stationary engine lot for a natter and a good look round, then exhibit your engine next year when it's running and you aren't on the last minute?   What sort of bike do you have?

Paul; it might be a good chance to get your engine running at the show, there's usually someone willing to give some help and advice to set an engine up or trace faults.  The public also seem  interesting in watching an exhibitor working on an engine and/or trying to start it.
