Is there an easy way to test an amanco igniter please. I have mine set up as shown but cant get it to start, plenty of fuel there and it has always ran fine before. if i take the blue bottom wire off the spring retaining pin, hold it to it and then pull it off, should there be a spark? there is if i hold it to the copper tag and pull it away, or is there another way to test, thanks in advance for any help, oh its on a battery and coil by the way.

neil
there isnt really a easy way to test them, and the way i did iit was to rmove eiyher the head or piston to see if it works on the inside,
or were its traking out to earth if this is the case
other than that its a nighttime test to see if the spark is going to the gooseneck or jumping exteraly , maybe just dirt in the ignitor contacts
or maybe oiled up mica insulation  or worn out mica allowing it to not spark
ect ect
