My Coborn C3 (warning - loads of pictures)

Post by 200TDi on Fri Nov 28 2014, 20:25

After being interested in stationary engines for many years finally this one came to live in my garage the other day. A quick play and there is very little compression (valves I think).

Coborn C3 - serial no 20127 - age thought to be around 1947/8.
Lister D Sheep Shearing Set - The D is Serial No 1/65855 (1951) so assume the s/set is the same age.
Petter A1 V/O 3hp@1500rpm - Serial 538215

Another nice find, try some diesel in the plug hole for a few days before you remove the head, it might be sticking piston rings.
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Stu.
