Hi Noel,
I tried for some time to track down RAL colour code for our green MK10 but failed miserably. In the end we just went to the local car spares shop and bought what we fancied. Our MK25 was ex Air Ministry so we went for RAF Azure Blue.

My dad works next to a garage and I got them to get some paint matched to the original paint that was left on my cowl. It turns out it's a very close match to a colour from Fiat. I believe the exact name of the colour is still on the paint can, so I'll have a look tomorrow for you if you like.

It was a great match, and looks brilliant too! I think it was £9 for a big can of it.

Dear Noel,

A local car parts shop has made spraycans for me. Color meets RAL 6001 number.
Most of the time a paint specialists can scan the color from a piece.
Just choose a piece which is not exposed to weather conditions (sunshine).
Inside of the cowl has still paint?

Best regards,
