Can anyone ID the engine?
Got this tank in a job lot.
Does anyone know what engine it came off? The cap incorporates a measuring cup and the legend reads ' Pour (?) measures of Castrol XL oil to one gallon of petrol' Also 'Shake well'. Not sure how you would do that with the the tank bolted to an engine - presumably two-stroke.

Looks like a fuel tank off an Allensythe (hope I spelt the right!)

Yup, I think you are right.
Should have known as we used to have an Allen scythe but sold it on.
