Has anyone seen any Girdlestone pumps in use on the engine lines?, got this one a couple of years ago (bit of a story behind it).

A bit of research found it was made by a company from the 70's, taken over many years ago, but the present company did send me a bit of info that may help others.

I think it may be a candidate to be driven by my Petter A1.

Used to see a few of their diaphragm type waterpumps at rallies but they seem to have gone into hiding in recent years! I haven't noticed one like this before though.

I have a similar Girdlestone pump.

It has two spring loaded blades in the chamber to pump the liquid.

I've had it running, but being all steel / CI construction its not really suitable for water.

Can't seem to load a picture in the usual way so here's a video on youtube.

That's a shame, looks like it will have to go back on Ebay, as long as Mrs Robo doesn't find out as she bought it for me.
