My Dad's D Empty My Dad's D

Post by low down lister d Sat Aug 29 2009, 10:00

Here are some pics of my Fathers Lister D.

Found it for sale on the side of the road and sanpped it up as a nice little project.

My Dad's D 090719154

Current progress is we've stripped it and began to clean all old paint and dirt off.

My Dad's D 090719168

Had problems removing the head due to badly rusted head studs and 3 snapped off while I tried to removing them. A lot of drilling later and I removed them successfully. Now to clean gasket surface to a mirror finish (yea right).

Cheers to Ryan for the new studs Very Happy

Been away from it all for a while due to work and illness but have just bought a complete gasket set and hoping to crack this D back together soon.

Had to make some valve top caps at work last week so I'll be running them in in my engine and giving my dad his back.

My luck tho, I've made these and Stationary Engine Spares have them in stock again Mad !
