exhaust on 1934 lister D engine.

Gents , need your help.
I want to make the exhaust quieter on my engine. Lister D type, I have seen a deep silencer type for my engine also have seen a silencer for a lister CS for sale pepper pot type which I could fit , my topic is would these
silencers make much difference to the standard exhaust I have now. Warm Regards.Roger.

What I have done in the past is to stuff the silencer with stainless steel pan scrubbers and it dose make a difference Its worth a shot and dose/nt cost a lot

Hi Tony, many thanks for info about the silencer, iwant to run the engine a lot more in the garden most days but did not want a fixed enclosure or go over the top with a pipework set up which would take away the appearance of the engine, I will give it a try, Warm Regards, Roger.
