gapping piston rings...

hello
any one know the gap for new rings on a 3" piston..IS IT 10.000 TO A 1" ? Embarassed THANKS ..

Way too much !
I think its about 3 to 4 thou per inch bore, so you should be gapping to 9-12 thou on a 3 inch piston.
