Hi all,

I'm Bren, based in Leicester. Just found the forum so thought I'd join. I'm sort of new(ish) to the hobby. I've had a Villiers Mk10 in the shed for a while which has been waiting for my attention. This one will probably be the topic of my first thread, it's in quite poor condition having been stored in a barn attached to a cow milker since the 1950s.

I also have a 1950 Atco 17 inch mower that uses a Villiers Midget engine, I've recently repaired that back to working condition but the Mk10 is going to need much more work than this.

I'm hoping to one day get something a little bigger, had my eye on maybe a Lister D but I'd like an early Petter if I can justify spending more serious money on one. For the moment I'm content getting this little Mk10 going and see what happens from there!

Thank you both! It's good to find a forum with a lot of information and passion on this stuff. What model villiers do you have Matt? Thanks for the tips for suppliers on my Mk10 thread too, I'm sure it'll be a good help with this one.

Midget in bits, MK12, C12 on a centrifugal pump, MK15 as seen in my avatar and a MK25HS awaiting restoration.

Quite a collection there, I do like these little Villiers engines. As I stated in my opening post the Atco I have is powered by a Midget engine, nothing to get excited about but a very nice simple engine none the less, it starts first or second kick every time. Apologies for the name mistake, I thought your user name was probably related to your actual name haha!

That looks like it'll keep you busy! Any plans to restore it? Seems like fuel tanks are a weak point on these engines if they aren't stored well.

It's mostly complete and turns over freely, I have a suitable tank in stock so it's in the restoration queue.
