Hi folks,

after years of listening to me talking about getting a Lister, my mate Clive set up a mock engineering company based on our surnames, and bought us a nicely running Lister D for my 60th birthday.
That came with a little Stuart water pump - which needs work.
A couple of weeks later I spotted a bargain on ebay with local collection, complete with 'unknown' water pump and a tank - so now we have two Lister Ds, 1940 and 1946, and 2 water pumps!
Somewhere at the back of my lock-up I also have a treadle lathe (for woodturning) which has a drive wheel for a flat-belt. So we'll get that refurbed and connected sometime too.
Meanwhile... looking for a generator to add to the pile.
(I blame lockdown for the extra time on my hands!)

Hope to catch up with some of you in discussions, and learn from everyone else's experience and mistakes.

Welcome to the forum gents.
Nights are drawing in so, even without lockdowns, plenty of 'tinker' time coming up.
I'm ashamed to admit that my woodturning lathe has been rather neglected since I caught the engine bug. Must try to re-balance a bit.

Ah yes - that's the danger. As my kids tell me - too many hobbies!
TBH the engines are just an excuse to talk widgets and sprockets with Clive, then get out in the summer at some shows (we hope!)
