Magneto Nuts
Could someone tell me what the thread is on the thumb nuts for a WICO/WIPAC Series A magneto - its difficult to measure. I'm guessing not metric and I've tried UNF spark plug nuts. The diameter seems about right but jams after a couple turns so maybe wrong pitch?

Re: Magneto Nuts
Hi Stuart,
Don't have the nut and trying to measure the screw in the magneto is tricky. Have tried BA without success.

Re: Magneto Nuts
Think the general opinion is it is a cycle thread.

Re: Magneto Nuts
Well they are a tricky one to measure. best I could do was 0.17" OD and high 20's pitch, had to give in due to frozen fingers

Re: Magneto Nuts
Try 3/16'' x 26tpi. This is British standard brass thread. Seem to remember that it is the thread for the mag top connection. Or poss the next size down.
