Petter ph1 injector squirt or spray?
Hello new to the forum.
I have a petter ph1 fitted to my log saw.
It’s always been a pig to start so this year I’ve decided to try a solve the issue.
Currently I’ve renew from the fuel tank to the fuel pump.
I’m now at the injector but not being a mechanic I don’t know if it should squirt or spray the diesel.
Can anyone advise?
Cheers

Hi Snowie and a warm welcome to the forum.
Good luck with your project - I presume you realise that once you have the bug all is lost!

Hi Snowie
Welcome.
Yep! a well atomized spray from three equally spaced holes. Spray cut off should be clean with no drips.
If you are checking it by taking it out of the head, turning it, re-tightening the pipe nut and rotating the engine to see the spray; be very careful that the spray does not hit your skin, it will penetrate the skin and poison your blood.
Actually that applies however you test injectors; never let the spray hit your skin.
