Some more junk...
Yesterday I went to pick up an Allam Minigen that I won on ebay. The main reason I bought it was it has a Villiers F15 engine and I haven't got one. Not sure about the tank, the others I've found pictures of have the tank mounted above the alternator, this has a plastic cover. Someone has thrown some paint in it's general direction at some point.
The seller was a farmer who is retiring and planning to downsize so I had a tour of his accumulation of old tractors, engines ect. Somehow this ended up in the van as well...
Swan military charging set with a JAP engine, the farmer used to use it for charging up tractor batteries. Hopefully just needs a once over and a good clean. Oh, and I picked up a 12V Lucas dynamo as well for a future project...

Amazing how that happens - looks good though!
My Villiers has an Allan generator although it looks older design than yours. What model is the JAP?

The generator is an Allam, with an 'M'... https://www.facebook.com/epallam/
The engine on the Swan set has JAP on the recoil, but is listed as a Villiers 507H-1. As Villiers took over JAP in 1957 I suppose it could be called a Villiers-JAP. The sets were used to charge the batteries in nuclear monitoring posts manned by the Royal Observer Corp.

Sod's law, another Minigen has popped up on ebay with a 99p starting price about the same distance away... . This has the tank mounted next to the engine within the frame, I wonder if someone has fitted a bigger tank on mine to give a longer running time? (I really should get out more...)
