Hi all, I am a new member living near Darlington in County Durham area. I have always been interested in mechanical things and recently have been given a Petter PA2 twin cylinder engine which has been completely dis-assembled. It is more or less complete apart from the magneto. Does anyone have any information on what type of magneto was fitted to this engine. Any info will be gratefully received.

, but I think it's a WICO Series A. The trick will be finding one with a distributor.

Hi Paul, thanks for the information. I am wondering how hard they are to find and should I start to assemble the engine if there is little chance of finding one. I will advertise to see if there are any around.

I don't have a manual for a PA2. Hopefully someone can give you the exact mag model number but you might drop lucky.

Depending on which version of the Petter PA2 engine you have:

Wico Series A type A1116BZ anticlockwise
or
Wico Series A type A1115BZ clockwise
