I'm new to this stationary engine game, so I was thinking with all the problems with this new E10 petrol and vintage cars. Is it OK for use in something like a Lister D.
If not what do you use ?

Only thing I would do is run the float chamber dry when shutting down.

As well as, either fully filling to the top, or completely draining the fuel tank, over winter or if laying up for an extended period. This will help to reduce the effects of water absorption caused by the ethanol, collecting at the bottom of the tank making starting difficult to impossible and or rusting the tank out.
