Feuerheerd rotor pump Empty Feuerheerd rotor pump

Some photos of a little pump I picked up recently. I thought it might have been a centrifugal pump but it is a rotor pump similar to some car oil pumps.
Researching Feuerheerd was quite enjoyable, turns out an interesting few years between 1919 and 1923 when these were produced by Feuerheerd and Licensees to the patent. Stothert and Pitt took the design on and developed it, but after the liquidation of Fuerheerd they white whashed his names from the records and claimed the design as their own.

I have it rigged up and running off my Sattley, it's ok, but the slow RPM (about 400rpm hit and miss) and pretty much 1-1 gearing doesn't shift much water.

Nice, I can imagine it could pump at a decent pressure being of that design.

Probably would of something with a few more RPM, my Sattley is a bit slow for it.

Here it is off the Sattley, not the best on a concrete floor. As you can see the Sattley is a bit slow for it, though demonstrates enough for the general public. Will try if off my 6PB once I found where its sparks have run off too.... I'm expecting the coil but don't have a multimeter to hand, will be in my own gaff soon.
