Sorry, only just spotted your post. Can you confirm model is A , A1 , A11 ... though internally they are generally much the same.

Hi,
The (A1) user manual I have doesn't give dimensions and the A range workshop manual I have is for later A series engines (but crank diameter is shown as 1.6250/1.6245")

L&S Engineers and Stationary Engines Parts have shells for various vintage engines so may be worth an email to see if they have any info.

thank you for looking , it measures 1.7498'' as does the mains so i think its std , as they say i will continue the research
