Hi, could somebody tell me what size gland packing and how much I need for a Lister H2 pump.

1/2" i do believe but i will have a look to see if got the size i used on it in the shed still and measure it .

I think it might depend on whether it is the water pump or the high pressure spray pump version of the H2? The spray pump has a smaller diameter plunger, usually made from stainless steel, so I think it might need wider gland packing? If so, let us know what type of H2 pump you have (a good quality photo should help).

I've just been out to the shed to measure the off-cut of gland packing left over from mine, but my H2 is the spray pump version... so that's not much help, as I don't know if the water pump is the same or not!

I would have thought the packing is the same size as the face that goes into the gap on the plate that holds the packing in...
