Had a few hrs spare this aft/evening and have started my next project Mk12/2Hs.
Block stripped, valves ground in and bore deglazed thats all it needed.
This looks to be quite a easy one to do as rings not badly worn and end shells as they should be.
So I am going to paint, fit new gaskets and see how I go.

I have also posted a tip ref painting on a low budget which has worked for me.

A couple of more stages on Mk 12/2
Got a bit carried away and rebuilt block with no images.
The date on the cowling I presume that was its build date.

Nice tidy job there. Coincidently, yesterday I was resetting timing on a MK12/2 HS for an old gentleman who bought my MK25. He has an allotment and keeps chickens so I was reimbursed with a dozen eggs!

I'm glad we've "laid" that one to rest.
