Issue unburned oil out of exhaust Kubota KND3
Dear Forum members,
Last sunday I've joined a local ralley with my engines including the Kubota.
In the morning the Kubota was running perfect without any issues.
However in the afternoon it started to drip (unburned) oil from the exhaust.
Therefore I decided to stop the engine to avoid further problems.
I've made only short runs (10-15 minutes max) up till now and this issue didn't occur
Surprisingly the engine did not smoke and seems to have enough compression.
Only when the engine is just started there is some grey smoke visible.
This disapears after a few seconds.
Any ideas or tips before I dismantle the engine?
Best regards,
Steef Pronk

hi john here this can sometimes happen with diesels that are run without load or are run slow
try a load make it work or just give it some more rpm
possibly nothing wrong with the engine

unburned oil issue Kubota KND3
Hello John,
Thanks for your reply.
See my today's post in chapter projects/ restaurations.
It seems there is an issue (seems a broken oilpumpshaft)
The engine in the middle is a German Sachs Stamo 50 engine.
a 2 stroke petrol engine. (1963).
Can you please post a picture of your Pranafa engine?
Best regards,
