I am a retired primary school headteacher but away from work have always been interested in mechanical things and tinkering in general. Had a MGB for 22 years, a Velocette LE200 and a Matchless 600 twin, all now gone. Feeling a need to tinker again and always had a hankering for a stationary engine. I remember perhaps ten years ago seeing a field full of them, all working beautifully, at the Driffield Show and thought at the time, perhaps one day.
Have just bought a Coborn C3 in need of renovation and have begun to dismantle it, knowing nothing about them apart from a little research on the internet. I am hoping that there is someone out there who can offer a little advice. I guess I need to post my questions separately. My thanks in advance to any assistance provided.

Hi and a warm welcome to the forum. Please take a minute to edit your profile and add preferred name to your signature.

I also had a few MGs in my youth though my last fun car was a Corvette!
Good luck with your project.

Many thanks for the welcome. The mechanics of the site, eg., add a preferred name to your signature, beyond me at present. Sadly I have to ask the question, how do I do that?

Third from the right in top menu bar. Click on Profile and then click Signature tab. Click Avatar tab if you want to add a, tasteful, image
