Why is there so little info about these?
All I've managed to find is a few youtube vids.  No books or articles about them, one advert on here for one looking for loving care.
Are they completely undesirable?  To me they look way better than your common or garden D!

I'm tempted to mount it on a go-kart having seen another thread.

G type was based on the American LeRoi engine in both single and twin formats. A Lister expect will be around in the moment to explain more.
I expect there was articles in Stationary Engine magazine in the past.

There was an article in the Stationary Engine magazine years ago, you can get a copy of the owners manual from places like the Internal fire website and ebay, they are a nice engine, were either all petrol or petrol/paraffin and in single or twin cylinder, hopper or radiator cooling, some had a clutch fitted as well.

As someone who thinks everything from the Dursley factory is Dross I quite like the G range, had a G2 hopper cooled, that was nice, came off Sizewell beach and a G1 with radiator that was from a cement mixer, run really well, I'd be quite happy to have a G1 again, space allowing!

I went off them when we were turning 'Stationary Stu's' (there's a name from the forum old days!) G1 at a rally near Darlington many years ago and the axle broke, guess who got hot water from the hopper over his legs!ShockedSmile Nice running engines though, I did have a Lister instruction manual for them but I think I may have sold it?

Pete.

They are not very big. Ours takes up no more space than a hopper cooled Junior.
