Well here she is, finely got her running sweet as a nut, starts 2nd pull and chugs away all day. The chap I got it from also gave me the pump but not started to explore that yet but from the cursory glance I gave it there’s no name I can see, il upload some more photos at some point and hopefully someone on here will have some idea. My 1st stationary engine and gotta say I’m rather pleased with it.

Nice one! Might be worth dropping a line to 'Stationary Engine' magazine for an ID on the pump.

Almost certainly a LEO pump manufactured by Joseph Evans, they made them with various sized and shaped cylinders (I have had both 1 1/4" and 1 3/4" bore versions) but the crankcase etc was normally the same shape.

Cheers, and yes they do look identical apart from mines got two bulbs rather that the one they seem to have in all the photos iv seen, could possibly just be an add on over the years.
After having a good look the only mark is a lion stamp which again leans towards you being correct.
Thanks again.

The crankcase certainly looks like a LEO, this is mine for comparison

Although it's looking a bit different now...

Yeah I’m pretty certain now, the plate on the end is identical apart from mine doesn’t have the plate under the red lion logo.
Your looks great by the way.

Nice engine and very compact trolley.  Can I ask does the engine show any inclination to fall over when pulling the starting cord?.  My Bsa 420 has a hell of a kick, not had it running jet so something may be wrong with the way its setup.

Hi, no it’s pretty sturdy, it’s got plenty of compression but no movement when pulling the cord, I stand to the right of it with my left hand on the trolly handle and pull with my right so it could just be that my left hand is holding it steady. To get mine going it needed new points, condenser and the carb needed striping down and cleaning then new gaskets, the soles carb is without doubt the most basic and easiest to strip and rebuild iv ever known.
