Villiers ignition coil readings Empty Villiers ignition coil readings

Hi all, have just been checking the readings on an ignition coil that is on a recently purchased engine on multi meter set at 20k ohms it shows 5.1 on meter set at 200k it shows 5.14 now I can never remember what a good setting figure should be, as there is no spark if these setting figures are the sign of a good usable coil am I now correct in thinking the condenser is suspect.

To be honest this side of an engine, [ignition ] always foxes me, be gentle with replies please.

Make sure to get a decent one, I got the cheapest from eBay and it was open circuit.
