Hi,
I recently purchased the above and have started to strip it down. The main reason for this was excessive play in the main crank bearings. Virtually no effect was required to remove the flywheel and the mag back plate wasn't tightened that securely either.
The reason for this thread is to ask for some help as I'm uncertain how to remove the brass stepped piece on the crank and the rear of the engine. Do you think this should unscrew and if so in what direction ?
