wolseley timing
hi folks, fixed my mag, it was the HT lead faulty, but need to time it, i have a tdc mark on the flywheel i presume that has to be at 12 oclock, but how do i set the mag????????????????? cheers, remember im cornish so an easy set of instructions would be fab lol

The mag will only sit in the rubber starting dog one way as long as the valve timings right

Turn the flywheel so that the key is at the top
then turn the magneto drive so it stops on the impulse
Put the magneto coupling on the drive gear in the crank case
offer up the magneto to the coupling and turn the magneto drive backward untill it meets up with the teeth and then bolt it up .
To check the timing turn the engine over slowly and the impulse should kick in when the flywheel key is at the bottom
That is now the timing sorted get it running and have a cold beer
