Oldest known petter av1 in presevation

Hello peoples. I was just wondering if anyone knows the oldest petter av1 series 1 in presevation ive got one which is serial number 600006 and was just wondering if there was any earlyer than mine in presevation

Thankyou biggusdanuss will contact him the engines been in the family since 1951i think and it use to run a dynamo and later on moved onto a corn crusher but it was lucky it suvived the scrap as we had a cs and a hornsby ackeroid (probably not correct spelling) but was very exited when I read the serial number plate

I have a series one AV1 ser no 604044 which jim Perkins dated as 1949 ,so I would think yours maybe even earlier

I think they started making the av1 1946 I think , ive just started to strip the head off to see why its not starting do you have any trouble getting yours started reiver

Rebuild starting after many months sitting in the shed a big thankyou to mr jim Perkins for sorting me out spares with luck she might fire up first time reground the valves so should have better compression fingers crossed

Engine rebuilt with new parts and head gasket better compression and fuel getting up to the injector but still wont put in to life theres smoke on compression but not firing woyld there be anything else to check matt

The Series 1 was a bit of a bandit to get started from what ive heard, hope you have luck with it,
