Just picked up a Villiers MK20 Missing a few bits so I've posted in Wanted. Sounds a bit wheezy so I suspect a ring or two may be shot.

Yup - head off and reason for wheezing becomes apparent. Doesn't bode well Sad

Luckily I have a spare piston and, between to two, a set of rings. Strangely the bore isn't as bad as I expected. Just a small nick at the top

Do we think it will run or should I start searching for a new barrel?

Hi Paul, I think that where the nick is it will catch the top ring when the ring gets round to the gap and could cause problems. but also not that clear picture of damage, as it happens do have a barrel here, as for your bits cannot come up with a price, so if you come up with a figure that suits you, I will go with that, I have been able to get whats left of bolt in head bolt so that available to.
