Sorry there are no T300 gaskets left from the original stock.
You will need to get two made from pattern by a gasket manufacturer or make your own from head gasket material.

I haven't but I know Peter Forbes and one or two others had dealings with them and always rated them highly.

Well it looks like will be making my own gaskets, had to sit down after a quote to make 2 for me  £130  WOW

Think should add that the quote for making the 2 head gaskets was NOT from the company Appletop mentioned, was from a company that sells on that auction site who also will make gaskets up for you.

Norman T300 MK 1 HEAD GASKETS Empty update

Post by donp Sun Sep 06 2020, 11:55

Hi all, I have removed the cyl. head from the T300 that was weeping slightly at a friends crank up last weekend and find it is a solid copper gasket, so have been youtube watching how to do this annealing, now this is something that I have not done before any tips are welcome.

I do not have gas bottles, oxy/acetylene, but have a gas canister torch a la plumber type am hoping this will be adequate,

donp,
I make fuel tanks for my engines out of copper emmersion tanks and it involves metal spinning which work hardens the copper so I use my gas torch to heat the copper all over and then leave to cool naturally this softens it.

Maryalice, thank you for the information, will give it a go, when time allows as with no rallies/crank ups due shortly that I know of and will be able to attend there is no rush as could always take something else if one appears at short notice.

I'm working on the possibility that my next Rally/Crank up "MAYBE" next year if I'm lucky, my engines are packed away until then.

Hi Donp,
Have a search around for Rothenberger Mapp Gas torches. They ain't cheap but I dropped on an offer from BSS (Travis Perkins Group ditto Toolstation I think) for four gas bottles and a gun for £78. Not as hot as Oxy but good enough to braze/silver solder small items.

Hi all, again, well made my own head gaskets, was a bit of a chew cutting the stuff but got there in the end, now fitted and engine back running without oil weeping from head/cyl. joint.  so upwards and onwards with this scruffy Villiers MK 20, will mention anyone have a good usable STANDARD BORE cylinder one on mine has damage to exhaust port that to me is beyond repair.    PM me please so we can talk
