Giving Stuart an overhall

This pump came with a Lister D we picked up a couple of months ago. Lister is chugging away just fine, but pump not doing anything.
So we took it apart to find out how it works, and eventually extracted the leather (more like concrete) cup washers and chucked the in some old engine oil for a few days to soften up.
Meanwhile made templates for the pump chamber gaskets and cut them out of nitrile-cork using a laser cutter at work (school DT department!).

Stick on a couple of hoses, and we're pumping lots of water!

I was thinking the same, I have to make do with ball pein hammer and some of my grandfather's well used gasket punches he had from Upex garage before WW2... so they are a bit blunt!

Just think of the time he wasted loading all of the parameters in for the different gaskets he made, 5-10 mins loading data for each gasket, upto 30 mins for the lot, maybe longer as one offs, ball pein hammer done in minutes

Doing well if you can "cut" cork sheet with a ballpein hammer, whenever I try it doesn't work.

Not wishing to be picky the new gaskets are not cork and re your attempts, your hammer is not big enough
