Field colour would have depended on what was available at the time, it would seem quite a few of the trolley acc remained blue, which the hot county ones being painted sand.
The Zwicky bowers were painted to conform with the paint ruling at the time but the engines and pumps remained the blue colour.


Great photos! I love the history and stories behind these engines!

Anyway - having started on the dynamo, I'm relieved to report that it was probably originally drab olive!
So - blue tank? olive dynamo? - I think I'm safe whichever!!  I can always book a re-paint as a later lockdown project!

I thought I'd finish the year with a video summary of this nice little project so far...
