Lister D Clag

Post by Statman on Mon Sep 14 2009, 22:07

Hi there!!

Recently one of my Lister D's is kinda tempramental to start but once running its fine!

I took it to a rally yesterday it took a few attempts to get going but it soon went after a min and ran all day perfect but tonight i went to start it and it started with a thick black cloud of carbon smoke lol!

Does this indicate a decoke in order or a dodgy valve or valves?

Thanks

Adam

Forget useing stuff like flushing oils Crying or Very sad what you have to rember these engies are old and full of crap you start flushing you will find you need new bearings and alsorts of things start going wrong.
The crud and crap as to go some were when you running it.
Never bee a lover off it
2 Hours you could have it all Decoked and back running for another 50 years lol!
