What engine
Hi
Its my first time here on this forum
I have an old engine, the story is that it was on a german boat under the war as a winch engine.
I has been used here as a engine for the saw mill.
The last 25 years its been just sitting here.
I have a couple of picks of it.
Can anyone tell me what brand it is?
There is no id except this "picture" on it, and the diesel system is Bosch
Thanks

Ah! That looks like a Blohm und Voss Focke Wulf Messerschmitt Heinkel Mk 3, often mistaken for a winch engine but generally used to pump out the torpedo tubes on U-boats. But I may be mistaken due to the lack of a picture......

Re: What engine
I've had a trawl through the t'internet but can't find the badge. A starting point might be looking through german engines on You Tube maybe starting with the Lorenz here

Re: What engine
I think you may have to find out a few German words to help with the search. A few days ago we were talking about a Lister D being fitted to a motor bike, well Elliot found it on You Tube but that was in German so that maybe what you need to look at.
