History and year of a lister D

Hi everyone, I’m new to the engines,

I recently got a lister D and a water pump but I would like to know the year of the engine and some history about it like what was it used for and where it came from please,

Hi, I cant help you with much but your engine is dated 1948-49, probably 1949, a google search will take you to many dating pages, just look for the D&F section,

Doreen Edgington will be able to give you the details you are after, unfortunately I dont have an up to date email, someone will be along soon with it hopefully,
Her late husband David was a great servant to the stationary engine scene, he wrote many books and managed to get a hold of most of the lister dating books, which provides who the engines were sold too.
