can any one tell me how these work , its just looked in the valve viewing area and it just looks like a threaded bar, with a bent piece of metal on the end, is this right or has something dropped off Very Happy

It,s hard to Explain there should be a brass shaped rocker thing in there, when you took the plate off with all the Wolsley writing on in frount of you there should have been a nut and bolt for ajusting the govner weights.
This is hanging on a bar at the top.
the scew in knurald bolt is connected to that and when you turn it clock wise it should speed the engine up,it opens the govners up.

ive undone the govoner to much and the bit that hangs has dropped of, ill take some pics tommorow, thanks chris
