Ideal engine
Hi All, I have been lucky to acquire a Ideal engine. There appears to be a number of missing parts. Is there anybody out there who could help with photos or information of this engine? Thanks. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Ideal engine
Hardy and Padmore. No port / valve housing on the top of the cylinder so not the style 1 (Loyal cycle) version of the GEM article Steve linked to, but probably a style 2 (conventional Otto cycle) with the chain driven overhead cam - has it got a sprocket inboard of the flywheel?
Great find!

Re: Ideal engine
Thought I had a pic of the exact type but can only find this larger example of the range seen at the '1000' engine rally a few years ago. Full crankshaft and twin flywheels, but similar valve gear.
