Update of my J.A.P 2A
A little bit of work on the engine, starting to look a bit better have replaced governor linkage, throttle flap shaft, air filter (home made using a electrical conduit box and dish drainer filter) exhaust box (citroen 2cv)and the Ewarts petrol tap, hoping when the engine is up and running to connect a Renault 5 water pump, anyone tried doing that ?

Neat! The engine has a very small footprint.

Hi there Alan, the bottom plate to the engine needs bolting back on which will extend the footprint, nobody seems to have responded about using a Renault 5 water pump with the JAP 2A, I have got one off ebay fairly cheap both the engine and water pump have necessary pulleys just have to see if the water flow will work might need modification , have visions of this being a stationary engine/water pump display..........we will see !.

Had to google the pump, can't see why it wouldn't work if you had a 'head' of water above the inlet. It maybe won't shift huge volumes of water though, being designed to just circulate coolant?

Hi Mattblack, you are probably right about volume of water moving through pump.......but it's got to be worth a try though........ otherwise I might try an old lucas car dynamo and get a few lights dimly shining !.
